Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd has issued a recall notice for certain 2023 versions of the AMG C 63 S, AMG SL63, GLC 300, AMG C43, AMG EQE 53, EQS 53, and GLC 300 cars owing to a major manufacturing flaw. The recall, known as REC-006349 and REC-006348, covers a total of 37 cars from these models, posing serious safety concerns to both vehicle occupants and other drivers.
Defects and Hazards:
The recall was issued due to a problem in the vehicle’s vehicle management system (linked to the fuse box), which might cause rapid loss of power while driving and increase the danger of fire. These faults were previously addressed in recall REC-005923, but it appears that certain cars received an improper replacement part during the rectification procedure.
Safety Risks:
This flaw increases the chance of accidents, including power outages and fires, which can lead to serious damage or death. Owners of impacted automobiles must take quick measures to fix the situation.
Action Required:
Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership to repair the fuse box. This repair work will be done free of charge to protect the safety of all drivers and passengers.
